Warm Fuzzies

Hello everyone,

This is Raga here. After a long time, I have a fun interactive card using create a smile ‘cool buddies’ stamp set, to share with you all. Here you go,

Some people are worth melting for, and I’m so thankful to all my friends and family who support me throughout this year 2019. Need all your blessings in 2020 too.

Idea behind this card:

Once I watched Frozen 2, I had this idea in my mind that I need to create an interactive card featuring Olaf enjoying his new permafrost, lying down on the mat and will sit up to catch hold of the falling autumn leaf. This card of mine is the outcome of this scene.

I used create a smile snowman stamp from ‘cool buddies’ stamp set. Video Tutorial for this card is coming up soon. Let me know how you liked it, in the comments section below.

I’m playing along create a smile moodboard challenge

Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy crafting!

Cheers!

Diwali blog hop - 2019

Hello friends,

I'm Raga here.

Hope you're all in full swing for Diwali celebration.

For those who are not aware of Diwali (for my international friends), here is a short description.

Diwali

Diwali, or Deepawali, is India's biggest and most important holiday of the year. The festival gets its name from the row (avali) of clay lamps (deepa) that Indians light outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects from spiritual darkness. This festival is as important to Hindus as the Christmas holiday is to Christians.

Diwali is a five day festival of lights celebrated by the Hindus, Sikhs and Jains for a variety of reasons, although the main theme which runs throughout is the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil.

To celebrate, houses are decorated with candles and colourful lights and huge firework displays are held while families feast and share gifts.

 Blog Hop

To make the celebration more joyful, we have come up with a blog hop filled with wonderful inspirations and generous sponsors. Special thanks to all the sponsors for taking this hop to next level.

Special thing about this hop: Card Drive

As we are neck-deep in our celebrations, surrounded by our families, it would really be ungrateful if we miss to remember all those Real-life heros who make it possible for us to enjoy all this securely and fearlessly, in our homes. As a token of our gratitude and to acknowledge their   sacrifice for us, we sent out handmade cards to a few Army and Air Force units all over our country, as a part of this hop. A small effort from our side to convey that they are in our thoughts and prayers.
This was made possible by our teammie Ishani , who herself is a part of the Indian Air Force family.

These are the cards that were sent to the brave hearts from my side. I'm so happy as they were acknowledged by them with thanks and simple sweet talk over phone. We are so proud and grateful to honour our real heroes on this occasion.

My cards for the hop:

Card 1:

Techniques used: Ink smooshing, stacked diecuts to create dimension, ink blending, dry  embossing, handwritten sentiment

Card 2:

Bubble wrap FG

Hello friends,

This is Raga here. Hope you're all doing good! Today I came up with an interesting card to share with you all. Yes, it's time for a new challenge at ATCAS this fortnight. Joyce Mehrberg is our guest designer and  Stephanie is our hostess. She chose 'Bubble' as the code word.

As you know, this word has endless possibilities, I went with some new interpretation called Bubble wrap. Yes, I can hear you saying that we all love to pop it out ofcourse. Let's go for the show off to see how I had to play with the foreground of the card.

To create this bubble wrap effect on the foreground, I used vellum and made impression   of bubble wrap piece on it using grey ink. Then added details using white gel pen and clear nuvo drops. Finally wrapped the vellum piece over the front panel stamped  with a floral image. Finished the card using a simple diecut sentiment 'hello'.  Hope you all liked my take. To see some more different inspirations from DTs, kindly visit the ATCAS blog.
